Bragging Rights Diva Match Thoughts
Not really much to say. The Smackdown heels defeated the Raw faces in the divas match. It seemed likely that would happen after Miz won his match. Jericho then led Smackdown to victory in the final match.
The match quality was pretty standard. Kelly Kelly got some time in there to be worked over. There were no great signs of friction among the members of each team. That was a bit of a letdown. Pride in what brand you are on really outshines more interesting personal issues? Well, maybe not for Big Show. In the end, Beth hits her finisher on Melina and pins the Diva’s Champion. Beth Phoenix, Michelle McCool, and Natalya of Smackdown defeat Raw’s Melina, Gail Kim, and Kelly Kelly.
Make note of Beth getting the pin, and not to mention against Melina. That is not an arbitrary decision. The WWE definitely gave Beth that momentum for a reason. How long until she does get that title shot against McCool? Hopefully the WWE can make that feud a lot more interesting than the diva match tonight was built to be and ended up, for me at least.
