What’s Next For Stephanie And Randy Orton?

Stephanie and Triple H

I am glad I watched No Way Out tonight. The title changes were definitely not expected. Again, no diva action tonight, but the matches tonight definitely will impact the storyline between Randy Orton and Stephanie McMahon.

Orton and Shane put on a good match. Orton did good in selling to make Shane look good. As I said days ago, it seemed likely that Orton would win. And they did go for the option of having Orton win somewhat cleanly. DiBiase and Rhodes did get involved in the middle of the match, but Orton sent them away, Shane came back to dish out punishment to Orton, and it took a nice counter to put Shane away. The ending was clean, if not the whole match. Shane goes for the punt, but Orton with the RKO as he came in. I liked it. Shane looks strong in taking a lot of punishment, dealing a lot to Orton, and not making any real mistake at the end. I wished Stephanie would have gotten involved, but it looks like she is staying face, even heading into Wrestlemania. Why do I say that? Look at the title changes.

I had heard the rumors about Stephanie possibly talking to Triple H on her phone on Raw, and also that Triple H is scheduled for Raw house shows, but I did not believe that the WWE would actually bring him into this storyline. They would have to break kayfabe (storyline world) to explain the relationship between Triple H and Stephanie. If you did not know, they are married. The WWE has teased it a little at times, but never admitted it straight. They could now. They could also find some other way to bring Triple H in to face Orton that still furthers the angle with Stephanie. No ideas come to mind, but admitting that Triple H still has that link to the McMahon family seems the easiest option. It seems unlikely that Orton will face the new World Heavyweight Champion, Edge. Heel vs. heel? Besides, the two were friends when Rated RKO reunited last. Why would Orton face Triple H? Has everyone forgotten that Triple H technically injured Orton last year? Orton never got his revenge. Maybe that will be it. Orton, being the heel, decides to face the face champion, Triple H, to get some revenge. Stephanie can “enlist” Triple H to get payback for her family. Still misses that really personal touch, but it is an option. I am not happy that it seems unlikely that Stephanie will turn heel, but at least she will be on Raw tomorrow. Shane was reported to be injured, storyline of course. That furthers the point that Orton is taking out the McMahons. What will Stephanie do tomorrow?
