Michelle McCool Defends Herself Again And Katie Lea Vs. Alicia Fox

Michelle McCool

Forgive me, but I will not even post the link to her latest blog. Go to the wrestling news sites if you need to find the link. To summarize, McCool defends herself against all the hate she gets for “stealing” other people’s moves. She is right. You cannot really bash her for taking other moves in general. She goes on to imply that all the other divas do it, which is an argumentative tactic I personally did not like. It is not just the women who do it. The Rock “stole” the Sharpshooter, Kane “stole” most of Taker’s offense, even some of his taunts, Ric Flair “stole” the Figure-4 from the original “Nature Boy”, and the list goes on. If I can put myself in the spot of one of the haters, let me word it differently. I am sick of Michelle McCool pulling out a new finisher every time I blink. And are these original moves? No, she is taking them from guys in other organizations. That is what gets to me, and what I believe the haters are really mad at. “Stealing” regular moves is one thing. Everyone does it. But stealing finisher moves and not even sticking to them is annoying. Cody Rhodes had a basic DDT as a finisher for most of his WWE run, and does anyone mention Jake Roberts when he hits the move? Now Cody is using a “Roll The Dice” type neckbreaker. I will not even list the half a dozen guys who have used this move, and from who Cody is “stealing” it from. However, Cody needed a new finisher, will probably stick to it, and did not “steal” it from someone in another fed in particular. I cannot say the same for McCool. Stick to one finisher. That is the “WWE-style”, which she tried to teach Natalya, leading to some issues. Moreover, it makes other divas look bad who are not in McCool’s position backstage. If McCool thought pulling of so many different finishers would get her over, she needs to think again. It is not just abuse of position that is angering fans, but her “McB**** Attitude”. She needs to stop defending herself so much in blogs. It will just cause the fans to argue more. I know some of these fans. She needs to either consider each bit of criticism to improve what she is being accused of, or just turn the other cheek. Do not provoke the fans further. She is a natural heel even without the heel turn on camera.

Katie Lea

Let me change tone and talk about something good. Katie Lea and Alicia Fox had a match on ECW. A short, but pretty good match. Alicia Fox was very impressive. Her offensive/countering style reminds me of Mickie James. Some of the counters she pulled of are what Kelly Kelly should be doing more smoothly. I hope to see what else Alicia can do in the future. Katie Lea finally won a match again. This is the second woman she has ever pinned in the WWE, Mickie James herself being the first. It was a good showing from her too, but she needs to work on her finisher. It lacked some real impact. The crowd was dead when she hit it, as if they did not think that would end the match. I do not know how much further the feud can go, but I like the chance both women are getting. Katie Lea defeats Alicia Fox.
